1851 Franchise spoke to Sam Gupta about his franchising journey with Right At Home.

When growing up in India, Sam Gupta had always been taught to take care of his elders. And senior care was something that always interested him. So after a successful entrepreneurial career as a franchise owner of an IT management industry for over 10 years, Sam decided to look for another venture. This past March, he purchased an existing Right at Home location in Pittsburg, PA. He felt the opportunity was a perfect way to give back and pay tribute to his own parents.

Gupta provides a personal account of his franchising career, why he selected Right at Home, and his perception of franchising before and after entering the business model of quality in-home care. He adds, “In my opinion, franchising is a very good way to start a business especially if you don’t have a long time to become profitable. The systems and guidelines are already in place. I can’t imagine starting my own home care business from scratch. There may be a little more costs involved, but it’s worth it.
