Candidate Criteria

There is no single blueprint for becoming a Right at Home Franchise Owner. However, many of our owners share a passion for helping others, a commitment to leadership, and the drive to build a business that serves both their goals and their community.

Wondering if Right at Home is the right fit for you? Take a closer look at the qualities and characteristics that many of our Franchise owners share, and discover how your values, goals, and experience may align with our mission.

As a Right at Home Franchise owner, sustainable growth depends on more than just your business acumen; this industry is driven by people.

An ideal franchise owner is:

A line-art icon of two hands shaking.

Willing to be an active participant in their local community and business groups in order to boost brand awareness and grow the business.

A line-art icon of multiple silhouettes. Below them is a circle with an addition symbol.

Open to playing a leading role in recruiting and overseeing caregivers and administrative staff.

A main point of contact for clients and their families, conducting assessments, determining the need for services, and creating a customized care plan that matches the family’s needs and budget.

Socialization icon.

Someone who can wear a lot of hats, especially in the beginning when you are first getting the business off the ground. As your business grows, so will your staff. Most franchise owners scale their office staff to manage the day-to-day operations, allowing them to focus on the strategic priorities.

Family Caregivers icon.

Seeking a fulfilling career, going to bed at night knowing that your work has made a positive impact on someone else’s life.

An ideal franchise owner will also have previous management experience and access to at least $150,000 in liquid assets available to invest into the business. Adequate savings or other income to cover your personal living expenses during the startup phase of the business is also a requirement.
