FBR | Right at Home Franchise Owners Recognized for Commitment to Senior Care
Allen Hager founded Right at Home in 1995 after witnessing firsthand how many older adults were readmitted to the hospital after returning home—with no one to care for them. After five years in business, the former hospital administrator launched a company that would grow to more than 700 locations across six countries. In each Right at Home franchise location, caregivers ease the burden of family and friends of seniors who are often overwhelmed with providing and coordinating care for their loved ones.
Right at Home franchise owners are thoroughly trained on the company’s mission, vision, best practices, and business model. The franchise selects potential owners based on specific criteria—including their perceived capability of caring deeply. However, it’s ultimately up to each owner to embody and personify the culture Hager envisioned.
Meet the 2024 Allen Hager RightSpirit Award Winners
To recognize franchise owners who reflect Right at Home’s mission, the company annually bestows its Allen Hager RightSpirit Award to select franchise owners. Unlike many industry awards focusing solely on performance metrics, this award recognizes franchise owners who embody Right at Home’s people- and relationship-centric, caring spirit and giving culture in all aspects of their work. The selection process involves a thorough review of each franchise owner’s performance, feedback from clients and staff, and an assessment of how well these Right at Home franchise owners embody the company’s values and culture.
