Right at Home, the industry-leading in-home care franchise with more than 750 locations, announced it is targeting Davenport and the surrounding area for its next phase of strategic expansion.

The brand, which operates nationwide and in four other countries, plans to open two new units in the Davenport region to meet the growing demand for quality in-home care services, the Omaha, Nebraska-based service provider said in a recent news release.

“As we continue to grow, we’re prioritizing markets like Davenport that align with our mission and offer potential for meaningful impact,” said Jennifer Chaney, senior vice president of franchise development and sales. “We’re looking for passionate entrepreneurs who want to make a difference in their communities while benefiting from a proven business model and an extensive support system.”

In fact, Right at Home told the QCBJ that it also is looking at Moline and Galesburg, Illinois, as well as the Iowa communities of Bettendorf, Long Grove and LeClaire as possible sites for its new locations.

According to data on Right at Home’s website, an estimated 84 million Americans will be over age 65 by 2050. Despite the challenges that many older adults face, most of them want to remain in their own homes as they age. In-home care services can help make that possible in the long term.

Right at Home said in its release it is seeking entrepreneurs to bring much-needed care services to seniors and adults with disabilities who want to live independently in their own home. Its professionally trained caregivers provide essential assistance and peace of mind to clients and their families.

Franchisees are supported by a business model that Right at Home said has been refined over 30 years of experience.

QC market launch

This will mark Right at Home’s entrance into the Davenport area and its latest expansion in Iowa, the company said. The new units will join its network of franchisees, which include locations in Iowa City, Cedar Rapids and West Des Moines. It also is seeking franchisees in the Iowa markets of Ames, Dubuque and Sioux City.

Right at Home’s closest markets to the Illinois Quad Cities include Bloomington and Rockford.

Founded in 1995, Right at Home offices typically are independently owned and operated and directly employ and supervise all caregiving staff. Each caregiver is thoroughly screened, trained, and bonded/insured before entering a client’s home.

Each Right at Home location will employ between two and 18 people. The company hopes to secure franchise agreements and open in 2026, a spokesperson told the QCBJ.

The Davenport area presents a compelling opportunity for in-home care services, Right at Home said, pointing to an aging population of nearly 20% and recent gaps in senior care due to cuts in county funding. In addition, issues with senior care facilities across the state are causing service gaps. It also reports Davenport has about 16,000 seniors.

“Our goal is to provide franchisees with the resources they need to build sustainable, successful businesses,” Mallory Hoskinson, senior director of growth and engagement, added. “From helping them drive leads to providing ongoing strategic support, we’re committed to empowering their success.”
