1851 Franchisee Spotlight: Brian Turner
Brian Turner, a Right at Home franchisee, is excited to expand his business in Florida. He focuses on helping the local community access essential services and resources that promote independent living.
After nearly two decades of experience in the in-home care industry, Brian Turner is expanding his Right at Home* franchise to South Florida, aiming to provide exceptional service to seniors and veterans.
Turner, who has a background in marketing and finance, has been deeply involved with in-home care since 2007, running two successful Right at Home franchises in Maryland and Virginia. He initially joined the industry to honor the impact his grandmother had on his life and has since become dedicated to offering personalized care solutions for seniors. Now, as he builds his business in Florida, he is focused on helping the local community access essential services and resources that promote independent living.
Turner talked about his franchise journey with 1851 Franchise and why he is expanding his Right at Home business. He started in 2007 partnering with an existing owner who was an RN. Brian’s background was in marketing and finance. Brian was very unfamiliar with franchising when he started considering it. He likes the support that the franchisor provides and how they keep him abreast of what’s going on from a national and even international perspective.
Right at Home’s corporate office had an attitude of caring and wanting to do the right thing. Brian admits that everyone that he knew who looked at other brands said the same thing. Right at Home definitely stands out in terms of the ability to show that they care and make the effort to help you grow in your respective business.
Turner said to make sure you pursue an industry you’re passionate about. He really cares about what he is doing. When asked to provide advice for others thinking about becoming franchise owners, he stated that it’s not easy. It’s a lot of moving parts to this business, from clients to caregivers – just everything that happens on the day-to-day. If you are going to get into the in-home care business, there needs to be a strong sense of wanting to help people.
