Mitch Piskur and Rob Morgan

A similar interest in the Tennessee Titans led Mitch Piskur and Rob Morgan to become lifelong friends. Now they are getting ready to work together as Right at Home franchisees.

After graduating from Vanderbilt University with a bachelor’s degree in math and an M.B.A. in finance, Rob received a scholarship from the Navy and went on to serve as a submarine officer. Over time, Rob learned valuable lessons that he could incorporate into everyday situations. After five years, he resigned from the Navy with an honorable discharge as a lieutenant.  For the following 26 years, he established a career in investments and currently holds the title of Chief Investment Officer for Sethi Financial Group.

After Mitch obtained his bachelor’s degree in electronic engineering from Cleveland State University, he entered the cable TV industry. During his 25 years of being an engineer for major cable companies such as Comcast, Mitch made a permanent transfer to York, Pa.  Deciding he wanted to venture into business ownership, Mitch opened a CiCi’s pizza franchise in 2008.

As season ticket holders for the Tennessee Titans, Mitch and Rob crossed paths when they were flying back from a game to their homes in Pennsylvania. For nearly 10 years, Rob and Mitch taught each other different business lessons as they grew to become successful entrepreneurs.

From the connections Mitch made with his customers, he learned about the struggles senior citizens encounter when their families aren’t around. Wanting to go into business with Rob, Mitch began looking into in-home care services and came across Right at Home.

The two studied the business model, learned the Harrisburg, Pa., location was up for sale and signed on as franchisees.

How did you find out about Right at Home?
Mitch: We knew we wanted to go into the in-home care industry. Rob and I came across Right at Home and then expanded our search to several competitors.

Why did you choose an opportunity with Right at Home?
Mitch: The reputation and the reviews we came across were incredible, but what impressed us the most was the great personal support corporate provides. The timing also was perfect with the property for sale.

What personal experience do you have in your own family with caring for a senior?
Mitch: I have been very fortunate; my parents are healthy but climbing their way into their mid-70s. As they aged, my interest in the industry grew immensely.

Please list any nonprofit organizations, community groups, volunteer activities, etc. you are/have been involved with:
Mitch: As of right now, we are not. However, we are getting ready to put projects in place and are excited to create new partnerships with organizations in the community.
